This means big changes to the British Bouldering Championships and some new junior competitions.

Udo NeumannOur most popular article so far has been the collection of Udo Neumann's video reports of the 2010 IFSC Bouldering World Cup series, so with this year's World Cup already a fading memory, here is a collection of his videos reports from the 2011 series.

It began in Italy in April, before moving on to Slovenia, Austria, Canada, USA, The Netherlands, Spain, UK and finally to the German city of Munich in August. The eventual winners of the 2011 series were the Austrians Anna Stöhr and Kilian Fischhuber.

1 General

  • Since the European Council is responsible for all European competitions, the rules about the CYS (Continental Youth Series) are removed from the IFSC rules handbook 2011. From 2011 onwards the EYS shall be called EYC (European Youth Cup).
  • Likewise, the rules about the Continental championships are removed from the IFSC rules handbook 2011.
  • In analogy with the European Youth Cup, the calculation of the team ranking on the World Youth Championship shall change: the best result of each age group and category (6 results) shall be taken into account:
