GB Bouldering Squad and GB Bouldering Team Selection Process for the 2013 Competition Season

Due to the changes to the team quotas for the World Cups (recently imposed by the IFSC) the following selection process will be used to select the GB Bouldering Team for the 2013 IFSC competition season.  It is likely that the Team for 2013 will consist of 4 men and 4 women.

A Squad of up to a maximum of 20 people will be selected and invited to attend pre-season training sessions. 

Selection to the GB Bouldering Squad is at the Management Team’s discretion but will largely be based on the following criteria:

• Team members who qualify for an IFSC Bouldering World Cup/World Championships semi-final in 2012 will be automatically selected onto the GB Bouldering Squad.

• The remaining places on the Squad will be decided based on performance at the British Bouldering Championships at Cliffhanger in July 2012. 

The 2013 GB Bouldering Team will be selected from the Squad towards the end of the pre-season training and is likely to include 4 men and 4 women.  Details of this selection process will be outlined in due course.
